Alpha-Linolenic Acid and Breast Cancer

French researchers report a study showing that women with high levels of alpha-linolenic acid in their breast tissue had a 60% lower risk for breast cancer than women with low levels of the acid. Their findings came after they measured the levels of fatty acids in adipose breast tissue samples from 123 women with nonmetastatic breast cancer and 59 women with benign breast cancer.
